Roger Miller was born on January 2, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Erick, Oklahoma. Sadly, he died of cancer on October 25, 1992 at the age of 56.He charted 42 country hits, with 16 of them appearing on the pop charts, garnering success, recognition and fame, plus six Grammy Awards. Of the 16 pop hits, five were Top Ten and one became a Gold Record, for his signature song King Of The Road.
