Motherlode - One Hit Wonder Song of the Week

Motherlode were a pop R&B group from Toronto, Ontario. The members were the great William "Smitty" Smith on vocals and keyboards, Kenny Marco on guitar, the amazing Steve Kennedy on sax, and Wayne Stone on drums. Sadly Smitty died of a heart attack at the young age of 53 on December 1, 1997.

They gave us a terrific slice of soul with When I Die, our Song of the Week, and a perfect song for our One Hit Wonders annual special this week on Treasure Island Oldies.
