March 8th,
2015 to March 14th, 2015
I have no idea what occurred, but part way through the 3rd
hour of the live show, the stream from the network failed and could not
re-connect. I apologize for this inconvenience, but when situations like this
arise, I have no control. Fortunately, it does not happen often at all. The good news is the entire show was still
archived and available now at the Listen
page. So if you missed the last part of the show or were unable to listen at
all to the live show, the Archive is
up and running.
It was fun to play some “time” songs as a way of reminding listeners,
where applicable, that the clocks needed to be forwarded by one hour. Surprisingly
there are quite a number of “time” songs, including Time Won’t Let Me, Time For
Livin’, Good Time Baby, Time Of The Season, Give Me Just A Little More Time, Any Time At All, Time Has
Come Today, and so many more. Check out this week’s Playlist to find out all the timely tunes played on this week’s
show.
Is your birthday coming up soon? Be sure to let me know so that I can
play Birthday by The Beatles and also wish you Happy Birthday on the show. Send the
details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com.
Next
week on the show it’s The Name Game
Special; and there’ll be a ton of tunes with a person’s name in the song
title. It’s all part of the 18 Specials for the 18th Anniversary of the show. And be sure to enter the 18th Anniversary Contest
now. Full details by clicking the Celebrate
18 logo on the website. I will make the draw and announce the next winner on
March 29.
The Treasure Island Oldies Blog
is playing the Rolling Stones and Time Is On My Side. It’s our Song of the Week. Enjoy!
Voice
Your Choice shines the spotlight on Janis
