With
the Christmas rush already well underway, I'm going to have to keep
this week's Island Update brief. I'd like to begin by wishing you a very
Happy Hanukkah and I hope you enjoy this beautiful and traditional
Festival of Light. I must also say that I was so pleased to get such
immediate response from the Lost Christmas Treasure I played by the
Fontaine Sisters, the backup singers for Perry Como from 1949 to 1952.
California Barb was so surprised and pleased to hear me play Have A
Howdy Doody Christmas by the Fontaine Sisters that she just had to call
the Listener Line as soon as she heard it to say how thrilled she was I
played it. That's a great example of why I love doing this show and
bringing Treasure Island Oldies to you every week.We're now only two weeks away from the Annual Christmas Special. Be sure to make a note in your calendar for Sunday, December 20th.
