I was pleased to present the annual Tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper, especially so since 2019 marks the 60th anniversary of their passing in that horrific plane crash north of Mason City, Iowa. To get a sense of what it was like listening to the radio at that time, I devoted the entire playlist to the music of 1959. It was great to hear such a large variety of artists who were popular throughout the year. My thanks to you for your many comments via email, my Facebook page and the Chat Room. OK all you Cupids, gather round next week for the love fest of the year! It's the annual Valentine's Day Special filled with four hours of some of the greatest love songs of all time.
