My very good friend Red Robinson, who is part of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, had his last regular broadcast of his Red Rock Diner show in August 2017. This brand new book Red Robinson The Last Broadcast, written by Robin Brunet, chronicles that last day for Red and then goes back for a retrospective overview of the encounters and influences Red's had throughout his career.
It's a fascinating read; not just a legendary broadcaster and a pioneer DJ, but also a champion of all good music in the 1950s, when not all music was universally accepted. It also shows the humanitarian side of Red and the causes he has championed over the years.
I was honoured to be interviewed by Robin Brunet for this book and to be included among those that know him, respect and love him.
I'm sure you will enjoy this book and the sheer number of celebrities featured throughout the book. I'm glad to let you know it's available in Kindle and soft cover versions at both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca and other great online book sellers.
Thanks for sharing your memories, Red.
