January
18th, 2015 to January 24th, 2015
It’s hard to believe we are already near the end of January. Is it just
me or has time simply sped up??!! I suppose if the weekly four hour show goes
by quickly, then the rest of the day, week, etc. is bound to follow suit. J It’s
a very exciting year for me and the show, as we celebrate the 18th Anniversary of Treasure
Island Oldies throughout 2015. And as you know, we’ve also got a fun
contest with a chance for you to win the poster of your choice from TNJ Poster Creations. I will announce
the next winner on the show February 22nd. Be sure to
enter; come to the Celebrate 18 page
for full contest details. Good luck!
Happy
Birthday wishes go out this week to Alice
Bledsoe in Peoria, Illinois. If
your birthday is approaching, let me know by sending the details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com
and I’ll wish you a very Happy Birthday on the show and also play Birthday by The Beatles for you.
Be sure to mark your calendar for our annual salute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big
Bopper on the Day The Music Died
Special, February 1st during the entire 4th hour.
Then the following week, Cupid will be present with his bow as we celebrate with
the Annual Valentine’s Special, February
8th. Just two more of our 18 Specials throughout the year for
you.
The Treasure Island Oldies Blog
is playing Bobby Darin and a song
requested by Cora Quinn for her
friend Alice Bledsoe in Peoria,
Illinois, who is celebrating her birthday this week. Bobby Darin appears in a clip
from a TV show hosted by Dick Clark,
and performing Beyond The Sea. It’s
our Song of the Week. Enjoy!
Voice
Your Choice is spotlighting Mark Lindsay,

winner during next week’s show in the 3rd hour.
