April
6th, 2014 to April 12th, 2014
This week on Treasure Island Oldies it’s the Annual One Hit Wonders Special featuring songs by artists who made
an impact on the charts but one time only. It didn’t matter if they had scored
a Number One hit like In The Year 2525
by Zager and Evans or a Top 40 smash
like Baby Come Back by The Equals or even A Little Bit Of Soap by The
Jarmels, a Top 15 single in 1961. All of these artists appeared on the
chart only once, never to have another hit record. Surprising but true. In case
you missed the Live show, be sure to listen to the Archive at the Listen page.
The clock is ticking down to the next special, the Treasure Island
Oldies 17th Anniversary show,
Live Sunday, May 4th and,
as always, on the Archives. I look forward to celebrating another anniversary
with you, my friends and listeners all around the world.
If you have a birthday coming up, let me know so that I can wish you all
the best on the air and also play Birthday
by The Beatles for you. Send the
details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com.
The Treasure Island Oldies Blog
is playing one of my all-time favourites, Baby
Come Back by The Equals,
featuring the great Eddy Grant on
lead vocals. It’s our Song of the Week.
Enjoy!

in the 3rd hour of next week’s show.
Here is the Rock and Roll News

Well that’s about it for this week’s update. Take care and have a good
week.
Bye for now.
