The Righteous Brothers, Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, were a blue eyed soul duo from the Los Angeles area. Prior to joining up, Bill Medley was in a group called The Paramours, while Bobby Hatfield was a member of The Variations. As The Righteous Brothers, they opened up for The Beatles as well as The Rolling Stones.
Teaming up with producer Phil Spector, they scored many hit records, including this week's smash hit.
