Manfred Mann were a British group formed in London in 1962. Led by keyboardist Manfred Mann, the group had many hits during the sixties, and with two different singers. Paul Jones was the first lead singer (Do Wah Diddy Diddy, Sha La La, etc.) from 1962 to 1966. Jones was replaced by Mike D'Abo, who took over as new lead singer from 1966 through 1969.
Next week on Treasure Island Oldies, Voice Your Choice spotlight the Mike D'Abo years as lead singer of Manfred Mann. Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page for either The Mighty Quinn (Quinn The Eskimo) or Pretty Flamingo. I'll play the winner on next week's show.
