Chairmen Of The Board - Voice Your Choice Treasure Island Oldies

The Chairmen Of The Board were from Detroit, Michigan. The members were General Norman Johnson, Danny Woods, Harrison Kennedy and Eddie Curtis. From 1961 to 1967, General Johnson had been the lead singer with The Showman, best remembered for the classic It Will Stand. Johnson also wrote Patches, the big hit for Clarence Carter.

The Chairmen of the Board were signed to Invictus Records, a label formed by the hugely successful songwriting and production team Holland Dozier Holland after they left Motown Records.

In three short years, they scored 6 hit singles on the Hot 100 charts. Treasure Island Oldies presents the Chairmen of the Board with two of their hits on Voice Your Choice. Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page for either (You've Got Me) Dangling On A String or Give Me Just A Little More Time. I'll play the winner on next week's show.
