The Crystals were from Brooklyn, New York and one of the top Girl Groups of the 1960s. The core of the group consisted of Barbara Alston, Dee Dee Kennibrew, Mary Thomas, Patricia Wright and Myrna Gerrard. In 1962 Myrna Gerrard left and was replaced by La La Brooks. Sadly, Barbara Alston died of a heart attack at age 48 on May 15, 1992.
Both The Crystals and The Ronettes were produced by Phil Spector and his famous Wall of Sound.
