The Lettermen formed in Los Angeles, California in 1958 and consisted of Tony Butala, Jim Pike, and Bob Engemann, and became the Number One Adult Contemporary Vocal Group of the 1960s. Between 1961 and 1971, they appeared on the Billboard charts a total of twenty times, including two Top Ten singles, coincidentally both peaked at #7.
