This Week On Treasure Island Oldies

May 8th, 2011 to May 14th, 2011

One of my favourite shows of the year is our annual salute to Moms everywhere on our Annual Mother's Day Special. many thanks for your requests; it's always great to have your input. Our next special will be our Annual Father's Day show on Sunday, June 19th. Be sure to mark your calendar so you don't miss it.

I hope you enjoy a bit of Island nostalgia as our webmaster, Eddy Fisher, has brought back the look of our original website back in 1997. Be sure to check it out at the main page of our website. Created by the fledgling new company, Blast Radius Communications headed by Lee Feldman, the company has since grown into a real blue chip firm with offices in major cities around the world.

The Treasure Island Oldies Blog is keeping our Mother's Day theme going with Abba with Does Your Mother Know. It's our Song of the Week. Enjoy!

Be sure to let me know when you have an upcoming birthday. Send the details to I'll then wish you Happy Birthday on the show and also play our official birthday song for you, Birthday by The Beatles.

Voice Your Choice spotlights the late great Bobby Darin with two of his many hits for your votes: Eighteen Yellow Roses and If I Were A Carpenter. Which song would you like to hear? Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page. We'll platy the winning song in the 3rd hour of next week's show.

More folks are following me on Facebook and I'd like to say hello to Linda DuBray and Andrew Trentacosta. It was good to hear from Andrew Forsyth and James Monaco who both left Happy Anniversary messages.

Don't forget to check out the show, Live and Archive on your Smartphone. If you need an app, may I suggest They have a version for all types of smartphones, including Android and iPhone. It's fun to be able to listen on the go. Here's the link for the live stream: And this is the link for the 24/7 Stream:
