This Week On Treasure Island Oldies - Week Of October 20th, 2013

October 20th, 2013 to October 26th, 2013

While I’m still dealing with the computer crash, I’d like to thank my Webmaster, Eddy Fisher, for doing an amazing job of getting thinks back in order, and so quickly. I do hope that everything will be completed by this weekend; fingers crossed. And to add to the situation, during the live show Sunday the hosting company for this website and the web based chat software went down shortly after the start of the show. What a nightmare! Fortunately it got back up and running before too long. So all in all, thanks for your patience.

I’d like to welcome another new station to the Treasure Island Oldies Broadcast Partners Network. A big hello to HOTRadio, Harwich Old Town Radio in Harwich on the east coast of England. We’ll be on the air at HOTRadio.com every Thursday from 7 to 11 pm and again Sunday evenings from 6 to 10 pm, local time.

A huge thank you for the tremendous outpouring of Happy Birthday wishes to me via email, the chat room and on facebook. I’d also like to wish Happy Birthday to Mike Dillon in 100 Mile House, British Columbia and to Jimi Bertucci in Los Angeles. If you have a birthday coming up, I invite you to let me know so that I can wish you Happy Birthday on the show and play Birthday by The Beatles for you. Send the details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com.

The Treasure Island Oldies Blog is playing Jimmie Rodgers with Oh Oh I’m Falling In Love Again. It’s our Song Of The Week. Enjoy!

Next week on the show it’s our Annual Halloween Spooktacular. Voice Your Choice will return in two weeks with the brother and sister act, Nino Tempo and April Stevens with two of their hits. Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page for either Whispering or Deep Purple. I’ll play the winner in the third hour of the November 3rd show.
