Chris Montez
was born Ezekiel Christopher Montanez on January 17, 1943 in the Los
Angeles, California suburb of Hawthorne.
His career began as a protégé of Ritchie Valens and during that time he recorded one of Rock & Roll's anthems, Let's Dance in 1962.
By 1966 he switched record labels and music styles. Under the guidance of Herb Alpert and A&M Records, Chris recorded several Adult Contemporary records. However, we go back to his rocking days with two of his hits for your consideration.
