Johnny Tillotson was born April 20, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in Palatka, Florida. At one point early in his career, he was a DJ at WWPF Radio. He was also in the movie Just For Fun.
He recorded for two labels, initially Cadence Records which signed him in 1958, then he switched over to MGM Records in 1963. He appeared twenty-six times on the charts, including four Top Ten hits.
