Sam The Sham And The Pharaohs were a great party rock group from Dallas, Texas. Sam The Sham was born Domingo Samudio on March 6, 1939. The Pharaohs consisted of Ray Stinnet on guitar, Butch Gibson on Sax, David Martin on Bass and Jerry Paterson on the drums.
Although their chart lifespan was but brief, between 1965 and 1967, they had a succession of hit singles, including two Top Ten hits and two Gold Records.
Those two Top 10 and Gold records are the subject of this week's Voice Your Choice: Wooly Bully and Lil' Red Riding Hood. Which of these two party classics do you prefer? Come to the Voice Your Choice page and cast your vote. We'll play the winning song ion Hour 3 of next week's show.
