This week on Treasure Island Oldies
February 21st. 2010 to February 27th, 2010
Not only are the streets of downtown Vancouver packed with people celebrating the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the Treasure Island Oldies Chat Room was packed too, and I was pleased to welcome JJ from Pickering , Ontario for his first time visit. The regular Nuts in the Hut were most welcoming and within a few minutes, JJ seemed like a long time friend in the chat room. He was recommended to listen to the show from various oldies music sites, including the prestigious Spectropop, and has been listening for about four weeks now. He commented on how great the music was, the quality of the signal and the rock solid stream he was enjoying. Thanks, JJ, good to have you as a new listener. It would great to have you check out the Chat Room too. During the live show Sunday nights, click Chat on the Menu on any page of the website and follow the instructions to log on. It is very easy to do and you'll find that the chat room adds a new dimension to your enjoyment of the show.
Thank for your comments about being able to hear the Top 5 Countdown at any time. I know you don't always have a huge amount of time to listen to the entire four hour show. By listening to the Top 5 Countdown, you can still enjoy a segment of the show featuring the biggest songs from this week in Rock and Roll history. Go to the Listen page and scroll down to the Top 5 Countdown logo and click on the button.

And this week I am pleased to spotlight Smith, featuring Gayle McCormick with their big hit single, Baby It's You, the remake of the classic hit by The Shirelles. Enjoy this live performance; it's our Song of the Week.
