This Week on Treasure Island Oldies - Week of March 29th, 2015

March 29th, 2015 to April 4, 2015

Here we are at the end of March and beginning of April. I have no idea where the time goes, but it’s sure speeding onward. And as we get closer to 18th Anniversary Special of Treasure Island Oldies on Sunday, May 3rd, we continue with both the Contest and the Specials. To enter the contest and be eligible to win the poster of your choice from TNJ Poster Creations, Click the Celebrate 18 logo. And as for Specials our next one is the Annual One Hit Wonders Special coming up next week, Sunday, April 5th. You’ll be surprised at how many big records there were by artists that hit the charts one and only one time. Join me for this special as we continue to celebrate the 18th Anniversary.

Happy Birthday wishes go out to my long-time friend and frequent visitor to the Chat Room, Frank Vandeven in Lillooet, British Columbia. Also best wishes to my good friend Red Robinson, who is included in many prestigious organizations including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. If your birthday is coming up soon, I’d like to know and wish you Happy Birthday on the show and also play Birthday by The Beatles to help you celebrate your special day. Send the details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies,com.

I’d also like to wish a very Happy 33rd Anniversary to Heather and Mike Dillon in 100 Mile House, British Columbia. I was pleased to play “their song”, Without Your Love by Roger Daltry.

Treasure Island Oldies Blog is playing Sam and Dave in a concert performance from Oslo, Norway with Booker T & The MGs and members of the Bar-Kays. What a line-up! Hold On I’m Coming is our Song of the Week. Enjoy!

Voice Your Choice presents Donovan. Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page for either  WearYour Love Like Heaven or Jennifer Juniper. I’ll play the winner on next week’s show.

Here’s the Rock and Roll News for the week of March 29th

Take care and have a great week. See you next week for our One Hit Wonders Special.

Bye for now.
