This Week on Treasure Island Oldies - September 20th to 26th, 2015

September 20th, 2015 to September 26th 2015

Well, another week and another four hours together to share some of the greatest music of all time with you. As always, thanks for your requests, whether via email, the Treasure Island Oldies Listener Line or via my Facebook page. It was fun to hear from Daryl in Jacksonville, Illinois and to play his request by Round Robin, Do The Slauson, a regional record that was popular in the Los Angeles and Southern California area in 1963/1964. I'd love to hear from you too. Call the Listener Line at 206-339-0709 and record your request message. You can also click on the "email your request" button on the left column of the website. Keep those requests coming. Oh yeah, follow me on Facebook.

Remember to enter the 18th Anniversary Contest. We have October, November and December winners still to come. Click the 18th Anniversary Contest logo to get more info and a chance to win the poster of your choice from TNJ Poster Creations.

Is your birthday coming up soon? Please let me know so I can help celebrate your special day. Send the details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com. I'll play Birthday by The Beatles for you and wish you Happy Birthday on the air.

Did you hear that the North American portion of The Who Hits 50! world tour has had to be postponed due to lead singer being diagnosed with viral Meningitis. Get better soon, Roger. In the meantime, the Treasure Island Oldies Blog is playing The Who from 1967 and Pictures Of Lily. It's our Song of the Week. Enjoy!

Voice Your Choice presents the Classics IV. Cast your vote at the voice Your Choice page for either Traces or Everyday With You Girl. I'll play the winner during next week's show.

Here's this week's Rock and Roll News Podcast for the week of September 20th.

It's the Top 5 Countdown from 1959.

Have a great week. Take care.

Bye for now.
Michael
