This week on Treasure Island Oldies, the Top Five Countdown spotlighted the year 1968. The song at the top of the charts was by an individual who never saw the success it achieved. Sadly Otis Redding died in a plane crash, along with four members of The Bar-Kays on December 10, 1967 in Lake Monona, in Madisom, Wisconsin. And posthumously it became the biggest hit of his career.
Here is Otis Redding with (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay, the Number One song this week.
Enjoy!
