The Music of Christmas continues here on the Treasure Island Oldies Blog with one of the most successful male singers who has sold millions of records and holds the record for one of the longest charting albums of all time. Johnny Mathis Greatest Hits was the first-ever "greatest hits" album to be released and spent an unprecedented 409 weeks on the Billboard album, charts.
I had the pleasure of seeing Johnny in concert in 2009, and what a great performance he gave. I also had the opportunity to meet him backstage after the show and what a friendly man he was.
