This Week on Treasure Island Oldies - Week of July 17th, 2017

Week of July 16th, 2017 to July 22nd, 2017

I sure enjoyed sharing the music with you on this week's show. Every week I prepare the playlist for the coming week's show, including your requests. I also really love hearing all the great music unfold during the four hours of the show. In other words, we all dig the music together. And your requests are important. For example, it was great to be able to play Happy Jack by The Who, Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan, Tommy Edwards' It's All In The Game, as well as Tired Of Being Alone by Al Green. If there is a song you'd like for me to play on the show, please don't hesitate to let me know, Send an email to requests@treasureislandoldies.co. I look forward to hearing from you and to playing "your song".

Be sure to mark your calendar for our next special, one of the most popular of the entire year. The Instrumental Gems Wordless Wonders Special will air Live Sunday, August 6th. Get your requests in to me quickly to be sure I will be able to include them in the special for you.

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Tom DePauw from WTDN-LP in Macomb, Illinois, one of the many stations that airs Treasure Island Oldies every week. If your birthday coming up soon, I'd like to know so that I can help celebrate your special day by wishing you Happy Birthday on the show and also by playing Birthday by The Beatles for you. Send the info to birthdays@treasureidlandoldies.com birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com

This week's Top Five Countdown is from 1966. And the Number One song is a classic by Tommy James and The Shondells. Hanky Panky is playing at the Treasure Island Oldies Blog. Enjoy!

Next week on Treasure Island Oldies, Voice Your Choice spotlights Rod Stewart. Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page for either (I Know) I'm Losing You or Maggie May. I'll play the winning song on next week's show.

Here's this week's Rock and Roll News Podcast.

Thanks again for listening to the show. I look forward to your company on next week's show.

Bye for now.
Michael
