The Elegants Number One Top Five Countdown 1958

The Elegants were from Staten Island, New Jersey and hit the charts in 1958 with their debut record, Little Star. Unfortunately , Vito Picone, Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardoinga, Carmen Romano and James Moschella, who had all been in other groups, were never able to repeat the success they achieved and became one of the groups who were One Hit Wonders.

However, in 1958 they were at the top of the charts and this week on the Treasure Island Oldies Top Five Countdown, The Elegants are at the Number One with Little Star.
