Hot Chocolate were a British soul band formed by Errol Brown and Tony Wilson in Brixton, England. They were produced by the legendary Mickie Most and also signed to his label RAK Records. They made a major impact on the charts in their native UK as well as in Canada and the United States. As an interesting aside, they had one song that was a hit in England but not North America. That song was You Could Have Been A Lady, which was a big hit in Canada and also in the USA for the Montreal-based group April Wine.
On Treasure Island Oldies, Voice Your Choice spotlights Hot Chocolate with two of their biggest hits for your votes. Cast your vote at the Voice Your Choice page for either You Sexy Thing or Every 1's A Winner. I'll play the winning song on next week's show.
