The Essex Number One Treasure Island Oldies Top Five Countdown 1963

The first two members of The Essex were Walter Vickers, Rodney Taylor. They then brought in Billy Hill and and Rudolph Johnson. Finally came Anita Humes and The Essex were complete and all members served in the United States Marine Corps.

In 1963 they scored very big with a number one single. This week on Treasure Island Oldies, the Top Five Countdown is from 1963. At the top of the charts it's The Essex with Easier Said Than Done.
